In this project, our team reimagined Barilla's long pasta packaging design, focusing on addressing unmet customer needs. We started by analyzing the existing design, studying the faults of the packaging. We then conducted consumer profiling to gain a comprehensive understanding of Barilla's target audience, which led us to valuable insights about consumer values. This helped us establish our mission statement and later guide our redesign.

Utilizing the ABC Model of Innovation, we began our process of innovating a design solution. The result was a hexagonal-shaped box featuring a rotating closure for convenient storage of leftovers. The opening was strategically sized to equal a single pasta serving, adding practicality to the consumer experience. Upon reflection I learned the powerful impact of thoughtful design solutions that prioritize consumer needs and elevate the overall product experience.
